Saxton hails water quality improvement PDF Print E-mail

North Vancouver, May 7, 2010– Andrew Saxton, Member of Parliament for North Vancouver, today commented on the opening of the Seymour-Capilano Water Filtration Plant, and praised the project as a highly successful product of intergovernmental cooperation.

The Seymour-Capilano Plant – the largest water filtration plant in Canada - officially opens today in North Vancouver thanks to a partnership between the Government of Canada, the Province of British Columbia and Metro Vancouver.

of the Conservative Party of Canada will be held

Time:        Networking 12:00 to 1:00 pm. Formal meeting starts at 1:00 pm
Place:        Seymour Golf and Country Club, 3723 Mount Seymour Parkway
North Vancouver, B.C.

Parking:    Ample parking is available on site

The matters to be dealt with at the meeting are as follows:

1.    Report by the Board of Directors

2.     Presentation of Financial Statements by our Financial Agent

3.    Election of Directors, including a report from the Nominating Committee

5.     Report from Andrew Saxton, MP and Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasury Board

Dress: Business Casual

Refreshments: Appetizers and beverages will be served at noon, complimentary to Conservative Party members. Non-members’ cost is $20. Memberships for $10 are available at the door.  Cash or Credit

Identification Required: Two pieces of identification will be required to obtain a ballot and to vote.  At least one piece of identification must have a photograph of the member and at least one piece of identification must have the address of the member.

 

 
Saxton Announces Aid for Phillipines PDF Print E-mail

Andrew Saxton, Member of Parliament for North Vancouver, yesterday delivered the following statement in the House of Commons:

Mr. Speaker, four days ago Tropical Storm Ketsana hit the Philippines, causing the nation’s worst flooding in more than 40 years. I want Canadians and the Filipino community in the Lower Mainland and across Canada to know that this government did not wait before responding to this tragedy.

Government of Canada Invests in North Vancouver PDF Print E-mail

North Vancouver, BC– Andrew Saxton, Member of Parliament for North Vancouver, on behalf of the Honourable Lynne Yelich, Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification, today announced federal funding to upgrade recreational facilities in North Vancouver.
The Government of Canada, in partnership with the City of North Vancouver, District 5 Little League and the North Vancouver Central Little League, will fund upgrades to the baseball facilities at Chris Zuehlke Memorial Park in North Vancouver. The project includes improvements to the sports field, concession building, dug outs and seating area and the construction of a new scoreboard. (full version in PDF)
